Veteran’s Day Assembly
TONASKET – In honor of Veteran’s Day, the Tonasket High School ASB will host a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday, Nov. 9 in the high school commons from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Community members are welcome to attend and celebrate America’s Veterans.
Child Development Board Meeting
OMAK – The Okanogan County Child Development Association will hold its monthly Board Meeting on Nov. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 631 W. Ridge Dr., in Omak. This meeting is open to the public and any interested parties are welcome to attend.

Royalty is open to any Junior (11th Grade) female, attending Oroville High School or living in Oroville School District. Veterans Dinner
TONASKET – The Tonasket American Legion Auxiliary will host a Veterans Dinner honoring our Veterans on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Tonasket Eagles from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner is free for all Veterans and non-Veterans a suggested donation of $7.
Notice of Closure
OKANOGAN – The Board of Okanogan County Commissioners will close the Okanogan County Courthouse complex in observance of Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007. The Courthouse will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007.
Annual Benefit Auction
SITZMARK – Sitzmark Ski Club will hold its Annual Benefit Auction on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Eagles in Tonasket. The Silent Auction and raffles will start at 6 p.m. and the live auction will start at 7 p.m. A prime rib dinner will be served at 6 p.m. for $15 per person. This is Sitzmark Ski Area’s biggest fundraiser of the year and everyone is invited to join in the fun filled evening with good food, a friendly crowd and great items to bid on.

Family Movie Night
TONASKET – Tonasket Elementary Family Fun Night, Literacy Night and Book Fair is being held on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All students need to be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free for children and families. Free popcorn and soda will be served. This event is sponsored by the Tonasket Elementary School ASB, Tonasket Americorp, II Sisters and Wal-Mart. Donations will be taken for Habitat for Humanity.
Thanksgiving Market
OKANOGAN – The Okanogan Valley Farmers Market will hold their Thanksgiving Market on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Okanogan Grange Hall, 305 Tyee St. There will be lots of vegetables, Christmas gift items and Holiday baked goods. Client Casework
OKANOGAN – The North Cascades Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding a Client Casework: Providing Emergency Assistance Class on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This course is designed to teach volunteers how to conduct effective client interviews and provide appropriate assistance to help meet a clients disaster-caused needs. OROVILLE – Oroville Assembly of God is hosting a special Veterans Day Service in honor of all Veterans on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. The American Legion will present a Flag Folding Ceremony and Touch of Grace Bell Ringers will perform a Patriotic Melody. Refreshments will be served following the service.
