CASHMERE – The Tonasket boys basketball team found out first hand that life on the road in the Caribou Trail League can be rough, especially when taking on one of the league title contenders.
Cashmere (6-2, 3-1 Caribou Trail League) ran up a 50-20 halftime lead over the Tigers on Friday, Dec. 21, on the way to an 80-44 victory.
Tonasket managed just 18 rebounds for the game as a team, led by Derek Sund with 10.
Michael Orozco led the Tigers (4-4, 0-4 CTL) with 15 points, with Ethan Bensing and Dyllan Gage adding nine apiece.
Tonasket next plays at the Brewster Christmas Tournament, Dec. 28-9.
