TONASKET – The Tonasket boys tennis team lost to the Oroville boys tennis team at home on Saturday, May 2.
The Tigers lost 2-3.
Tonasket head coach Laura Temby said the number one singles player, Brett Hendrick, beat Oroville’s Bryce Woodruff 6-2, 6-2. The Tonasket number two singles player, Lee Leavell, beat Oroville’s Eric Ruiz 6-1, 6-0.
Oroville’s Preston Iverson beat Tonasket’s number three singles player, Aaron Bharucha, 6-2, 6-2.
The Oroville number one doubles team, Jessie Barker and Marcus Kinman, beat the Tonasket number one doubles team, Karl Bharucha and Damon Sprague, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. The Oroville number two doubles team, Woodruff and Isaac Iverson, beat the Tonasket number two doubles team, Chris Martini and Anthony Verhasselt, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.
