Civil
Sylvia Brower verses the Town of Conconully. In 1995 the plaintiff Sylvia M. Brower and her partner Lee Smith purchased property within the Town of Conconully including lots 1-17 of Block P. Previously in 1905 the town of Conconully vacated all of the alleys within Block P and title to the land up to the center line of the unopened Broadway streets transferred to the adjacent property owners. In 2005 the plaintiff Brower sold part of lots 9 and 10 of Block P but retained ownership of the 40 feet wide strip of property that lies in the previously vacated Broadway Street. The Town of Conconully now asserts ownership of all the previously vacated Broadway Street without compensating plaintiff for taking ownership.
