Criminal
- Dusty Lynn Simpson, 36, Omak, pleaded guilty April 12 to third-degree assault (of a law enforcement officer). The court dismissed two additional charge of third-degree assault (of a law enforcement officer). Simpson was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined $600 for the Jan. 10 crimes.
- Bryan James St. Peter, 19, Omak, pleaded guilty April 13 to second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief. The crimes occurred July 23, 2014. In a second case, St. Peter pleaded guilty April 13 to POCS (methamphetamine), use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful carrying of a loaded pistol in a vehicle. Those crimes occurred Dec. 20, 2015. St. Peter was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 304 days suspended, and fined a total of $2,371.
- The court found probable cause to charge Tyler Lee Shelton, 25, Tonasket, with first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, first-degree assault (with a deadly weapon), and two counts of third-degree malicious mischief. The crimes allegedly occurred April 4.
- The court found probable cause to charge Michael C. Aubin, 45, Oroville, with two counts of second-degree assault (with a deadly weapon); and one count each of harassment (threats to kill) and unlawful possession of a firearm. The crimes allegedly occurred April 6.
- The court found probable cause to charge Brian Moreno Chacon, 19, Omak, with second-degree assault (with a deadly weapon). The crime allegedly occurred April 9.
Juvenile
- A 16-year-old Omak boy pleaded guilty April 13 to possession of marijuana by a person under 21 years of age. The crime occurred Aug. 25, 2015. In a second case, the same boy pleaded guilty to third-degree theft. That crime occurred July 30, 2015. In a third case, the boy pleaded guilty to POCS and obstruction. The boy was sentenced to 30 days in detention with credit for 30 days served.
- A 14-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty April 13 to fourth-degree assault (DV). The crime occurred March 14. In a second case, the girl pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault (DV). That crime occurred March 16. The girl was sentenced to seven days in detention with credit for seven days served; and seven hours of community service converted to one day in detention with credit for one day served.
- A 17-year-old Tonasket boy pleaded guilty April 14 to possession of marijuana by a person under 21 years of age. The boy was sentenced to 10 days in detention with credit for one day served for the Nov. 4, 2015 crime.
District Court
- Ryan Gabriel Meese, 28, Oroville, had a second-degree criminal trespassing charge dismissed.
- Chad Elliot Monnin, 41, Omak, guilty of second-degree DWLS. Monnin was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 359 days suspended, and fined $873.
- Theresa Marie Nimmo, 24, Omak, guilty of DUI and guilty (other deferral revoked) of third-degree theft. Nimmo was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 363 days suspended, and fined a total of $2,814.
- Angel Nunez Mora, 24, Okanogan, guilty of first-degree DWLS. Nunez Mora was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended, and fined $863.
- James Carl Olson Jr., 21, Tonasket, had a second-degree criminal trespassing charge dismissed.
- Jonathan Ortega, no middle name listed, Oroville, guilty of fourth-degree assault. Ortega was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 359 days suspended, and fined $988.
- Randi Lynne Elizabeth Palmer, 27, Omak, guilty of first-degree negligent driving. The court dismissed a third-degree DWLS charge. Palmer received a 90-day suspended sentence and fined $793.
- Jose Luis Pascual Hernandez, 26, Omak, had a charge dismissed: fishing without a license.
- Mark Dee Penley, 58, Omak, had a fourth-degree assault charge dismissed.
- James Tauri Popkin, 47, Omak, guilty of fourth-degree assault. Popkin was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 354 days suspended, and fined $1,048.
- Alan Forbes Price, 42, Oroville, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Price was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 86 days suspended, and fined $903.
- Michael Silvestre Santana, 24, Omak, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Santana was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and fined $513.
