Woman crashes into telephone pole
Ashley Rothrock/submitted photo On Monday evening a 52-year-old female said something went wrong with her steering wheel and caused her to lose control of her vehicle. She swirved, striking a power pole on Highway 7, near Tonasket. There were no injuries and the woman was the only occupant in the vehicle.
At the Nov.19 Oroville City Council meeting, the city offered the position of Chief of Police to Sgt. Gary Hirst.
Oroville Police Chief Mike Langford, who announced at the Oct. 17 city council meeting he intended to retire, has officially done so.
The patrol vehicle of two deputies was struck on Wednesday, Nov. 6 near Havillah, sending the driver and both deputies to the hospital.
