Tom Harvey, 64, of Oroville passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at his home in Oroville.
He was born in Boise, Idaho on Nov. 23, 1946 to parents Oliver and Bernice Harvey. In 1962 he left for Juneau, Alaska to live with his older brother, Bruce and family. In May of 1965 he married Sandy Ellis and they had three sons: Jody, Casey and Jamey. Tom worked in Juneau for the phone company, then in 1972 transferred to Mt. Vernon. In 1977 he transferred to Tonasket and worked for the phone company in Tonasket and Republic until retirement in 2005. He loved water sports with his family and friends at their home on the lake. Tom was a member of the NRA and AARP.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Oroville; sons: Jody (Angela) of Spokane, Jamey (Kelley) of Juneau, Alaska; granddaughter, Katelyn Harvey and grandson, Connor Harvey of Spokane and grandson, Jack Harvey of Juneau, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dr. Bruce Harvey; sister, Mary Harvey and infant son, Casey.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Oroville with Pastor Karen Davison officiating. Interment will be at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any children’s hospital of your choice.
