Ruby Leone Reese, age 81 of Oroville, died on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 25, 1934 in Oroville to parents Victor and Melissa (Snyder) Lehrman.
Ruby was raised in Oroville on their family ranch with her brothers and sisters. She attended school in Oroville and graduated in 1952. On June 11, 1953 she married Robert Reese. Together they raised three daughters, Vickie, Janet and Peggy.
Over the years Ruby worked part time in the apple industry, as a phone operator and at Drummond’s Drug Store. Ruby was devoted to her husband, daughters and family. She loved family get-togethers and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they all were her babies. She enjoyed talking and reminiscing with her brother Ed and sister Louise once a week.
Ruby had two favorite quotes she had on sticky notes all over her house. “There are many tears in the heart that never reach the eyes.” and “Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping gears.” We love you, until we meet again.
Ruby will be deeply missed by her loved ones who remember her smiling pretty face.
