Roxy Ann (Mattix) Cox

Roxy Ann (Mattix) Cox was born July 31, 1962 and passed away Oct. 13, 2009.

She was born in Long Beach, Calif. and shortly after her family moved to the Okanogan Valley. Roxy was raised in Loomis where she attended Loomis School and later Tonasket where she graduated high school in 1980. She moved with her husband Phil to Arizona in 1980 where she attended college and worked as an accountant. She returned to her hometown of Loomis in 2001 where she lived until her passing. All that knew her loved Roxy for her quick wit, smile and the fact she was always willing to help a friend. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. “I guess God needed another angel.”

Roxy is survived by her husband, Phil Cox of Loomis; her parents, Dave and Wanda Mattix of Loomis; two sons, David and Patrick Cox of Tucson, Ariz.; her brother, Ted Mattix of Oroville; two nephews and two very special great nephews and one great niece; four aunts; three uncles and numerous cousins.

Roxy requested that no services be held and in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her memory to Our House c/o Cancer Care of North Central Washington Inc., P.O. Box 2044, Wenatchee, WA 98807.
