Rosie Scott, age 88, of Tonasket died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Okanogan-Douglas District Hospital in Brewster.
She was born on July 3, 1921 in Wauconda to parents Frederick and Mamie Siegrist. Rosie was raised in the Wauconda area. She met Duward Scott and later they were married. Together they lived and ranched near Bonaparte Lake where they raised their three children. In 1989, Rosie moved to Elmer City living there until 2008 when she moved to Tonasket. Rosie enjoyed horse racing and vacationing with her grandkids. She was a 30-year member of the Tonasket Eagles.
She is survived by two daughters: Gerry (Bert) Beeman of Tonasket and Pat (Yeg) Wandler of Tonasket; one son, Mike (Glenda) Scott of Elmer City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson; one great grandson; three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery with Tom Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of her great grandson to the Willie Burton Memorial Scholarship Fund at US Bank in Tonasket.
