Rosalie J. Clinkenbeard, 56, of Wenatchee, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at her home in Wenatchee.

She was born Feb. 14, 1954, in Tonasket, to Harold and Lucille Clinkenbeard. Rosalie attended and graduated from Oroville High School in 1972. She attended and graduated from Lee’s Beauty School in Spokane in 1973. She also received diplomas from Helena Rubenstein, Max Factor, Revlon, and Azziza cosmetic companies. Rosalie held a number of positions in her life, which included managing the Cosmetic Department at Payless Drug, giving seminars on cosmetics, handling bookkeeping for her parents, teaching preschool children for a church, counseling troubled teens and cancer patients, and working at the Auvil’s apple warehouse. Being artistic, she painted American Indian portraits, which were sold at the Spokane Ridpath Hotel and the Leavenworth Outdoor Art Shows. Being full-spirited, she was the only female to compete at Seattle International Raceway on her Kawasaki “550”. She then became the first woman president in Washington state of a motorcycle club.

Rosalie is survived by three brothers: Dennis Clinkenbeard of Molson, Douglas Clinkenbeard of Warner, Alberta Canada and Arlie Clinkenbeard of Riverside; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Bergh Chapel in Oroville followed by interment at the Molson Cemetery, officiated by Lee LaCoss. A memorial celebration of Rosalie’s life will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 428 King Street in Wenatchee. Memorials may be made to the St. Luke’s E.C.W.
