Penelope Wright was born November 7, 1948 in Kennewick, Wash. She passed away on September 5, 2014.
Her family moved from Kennewick to Everett, and then to Seattle, where she spent most of her childhood. She graduated from Ingraham High School in 1966.
She had excellent business skills, and worked for Harley Hoppe, King County assessor. She then went to work at Boeing, where she was instrumental in the planning and opening of the training center on the former Longacres site. She retired from Boeing in 1998.
She married Sam Wright on Dec. 27, 1982. The lived in Des Moines Wash., before building their dream home in the Aeneas Valley. She was past president of the Aeneas Valley Women’s group and enjoyed making and selling craft items to raise money for Fire district 16. She also enjoyed spending time with friends in the valley.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Sam Wright, daughter Tove, sister Debra Thompson (Paul), brother Gordy Mitchell, nieces Kirsten, Erin, Cristina, Natalie, nephew Keil and her precious grandchildren: Peyton, Alyce, Hunter, Elizabeth and Holden. She was preceded in death by her parents.
