Pat Hanson, 76 of Oroville, Washington died on Friday, August 19 at a Tonasket hospital. Pat was born January 12th, 1940 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

He was the son of James and Myrtle (Lethcoe) Hanson. Pat grew up in Elk Point on a farm and attended school in Elk Point until he joined the Navy in 1958.

Pat married Cheryl Meese in 1990 in Reno, Nev. They lived in Everett, Wash. until moving to Oroville on 12 acres naming their own road “Redneck Drive.”

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Hanson; brother, John Hanson; sisters, Kathryn Hanson and Ginny Ghee and his son Jim Hanson.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Hanson; daughters Heather Kelso and Wendi (Mark) Tucker; brother, Dan (Mary) Hanson of Elk Point; sisters Donnie (Robert) Peregrine of Rapid City, South Dakota and Rita Leinen of LeMars, Iowa; two step-children; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren, DJ Clines, Tiffani Tucker, Luke Kelso, Taylor Tucker, Nick Perez, Maggie Hanson, Michael Jr. and Faleasha; great grandchildren, Aidan Clines, Rilynn Tucker and Averee Clines, as well as his dogs, Baby and Squirt.

At Pat’s request there will be no funeral services.
