Mildred Monsell, 96, passed away in Richmond, Virginia on September 20, 2016. She was born in 1920 to Joseph and Emma Barrett in Oklahoma.

She married Charles Monsell in 1942 and the family moved to Tonasket, Wash. in 1958 where Charles ran an orchard until his death in 1976. She worked at the hospital in Tonasket for many years and was active in Eagles. She moved to Virginia to live with her son and was there until her death.

She is survived by her son, Charles of Spotsylvania, Virg. and daughter, Peggy, of the Florida Keys.

Ferry Funeral home in Nevada, Missouri is in charge of funeral arrangements and internment will be in Click Cemetery in her family plot.
