Maxine Z. Carlson, 88, was born in Gravity, Iowa on November 1, 1927 to Arthur and Lola Irwin .
As a young girl her family moved to Buena, Wash. in 1937, where she went to Grade School and High School in Toppenish, Wash. After graduating from High School in 1946, she went to work for different businesses as a bookkeeper in Yakima Washington for 40 years.
After her husband’s death in March 1985. She went to visit a friend in Loomis, Wash. and there she met Dave Carlson and they were married Jan.1,1986 in Yakima she retired and moved to Loomis where her new husband lived. In January of 1987 they started going to Arizona every winter and
finally bought a house there. They continued snowbirding until 2015 and moved to Arizona for good. She loved to cook and
was a good cook. She liked to try new recipes.
She died on September 7, 2016 the effects of Alzheimer’s and Pneumonia.
Surviving is her husband at home, one brother, one niece, three stepchildren and six step-grandchildren. Her remains were cremated and will be buried in Loomis Cemetery at a date not set yet. Memorials may be sent to the place of your choice.
