Lee Clark Denny, age 80 of Tonasket, died on February 3, 2016 at his home. He was born April 5, 1935 in Rochester, New York to parents Lyle and Mary (Davis) Denny.
Lee joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1952 serving in Korea and three tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Marine Corp in 1972 and went to work for General Electric as a Tech Rep for airplane engines. He spent his free time building his own boat and sailed off shore for many months.
In 1999, he moved to Tonasket. Lee was a member of the Tonasket American Legion and served as Commander for five years. He was also a member of the Tonasket Eagles and the AMVETS.
Lee is survived by his life partner Shirley Schaub, children Brian Denny, Rhonda Hoscoe and April Denny, step children Mindy McCartney, Dalana Potter, Frederick Decante, Elverta Yingling, Jeff Davis and Beverly Jones, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Eric Denny.
Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Tonasket Cemetery with the Tonasket American Legion, officiating. A Memorial Service and luncheon will follow at the Tonasket Eagles.
