The Celebration of Life and Candle light vigil for Kristopher William Anderson is scheduled for Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Chief Tonasket Park, in Tonasket, Wash. at the Salmon viewing platform at 6:30 p.m.
Kristopher William Anderson was born May 22, 1985 in Seattle, Wash. to Dale and Kathy Anderson and died March 15, 2011 in Tonasket. Kristopher was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Seattle and was an active member beginning with Sunday School at the age of eight.
Kris attended Arbor Heights Elementary School, David T. Denny Middle School, Chief Sealth High School and graduated from Tonasket High School in 2004. After high school, Kris worked for Americorp in the Tonasket Elementary School and viewed his two years with the first- and second-grade students as the most rewarding and valuable years of his adult life. After Americorp Kris worked with senior citizens at the Apple Meadows Center in Omak, where was well liked and a bright spot in the lives of the elderly.
Kris’s interests included working on his “Caddy,” water sports, his little dog, Saint, his young son, Konner and creating Rap beats and writing and singing songs, giving him the high school nickname of “RapStar.” He was also artistically blessed and created beautiful pencil sketchings. Kristopher will forever be remembered as “Kuzzin” because of his relationship with his cousins and all of the friends he made in Tonasket after re-locating during high school. Kris had a love of music and had plans of returning to Seattle and enrolling in the Art Institute of Seattle
Kristopher William Anderson was a quiet, shy and gentle spirit who battled with depression and died after falling through the cracks in our communities’ mental and behavioral health facilities. Kris’s cries for help fell short for him, but it is his families hope that his death brings attention to this area’s shortcomings in mental illness and might save the life of at least one other young person.
Kris was preceded in death by his father Dale William Anderson. He leaves behind his mother, Kathy Anderson; one sister and a brother-in-law Kelly Anderson and Bryce Sylvester; one son, Konner William Anderson; a fiancé Katie Foster; a grandmother, Jean Sides and grandfather Cal Seibel; three cousins Jeff and Jesse Epley and Christopher Austin and aunt and uncle Georgine Epley and Michael Nigg, a special friend, Saint, his dog and hundreds of friends and other family members.
In lieu of flowers the family of Kristopher William Anderson wish that donations be made to Kris’s son, Konner, who was the light of his life, and/ or his new niece, Gemma Rae Sylvester. Donations can be sent to Konner William Anderson Trust at P.O. Box 454 Tonasket, WA 98855 or the Wells Fargo Bank in Tonasket.
