Kent A. Kidwell was born in Tonasket on Nov. 10, 1957 at St. Martin’s Hospital to parents George and Darleene Kidwell. He died suddenly at his home in Willamina, Ore. on Sept. 14, 2009.
Kent was a truck driver, outdoorsman, cowboy, mechanic, carpenter and a natural musician. He was generous and kind, a good family man and friend to anyone needing help. He attended the Oroville schools and graduated with the class of 1976. His church home was Crossroads Worship Center in Willamina.
Kent is survived by his wife Cheryl; a son, Thomas; four step-children: Christopher, Crystal, Jennifer and Jonathan, all of Willamina; two grandchildren; his mother, Darleene Kidwell-Owyen, Oroville; sister, Lawana (Steve) Floyd, Burley, Idaho; brother, Keith (Mary) Kidwell of Hong Kong; and many loving cousins, nephews, nieces and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, George R. Kidwell, in 1992.
His grave is in Buck Hollow Cemetery located in the Oregon coastal hills where he hunted and camped. His slow talking, deep bass voice will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
