Kay (Bergeson, Koch) Halldin, 70, of Wannacut Lake, died on July 21, 2008 at North Valley Hospital.
She was born May 18, 1938 in Everett and grew up in Sunnyside, Wash. Kay graduated from Marysville High School in 1956. She spent most of her career for General Telephone Co., followed by many years at Scott’s Paper Co. where she stayed until retirement. Kay loved her family first and foremost and then other people, walking, reading, fishing, bowling and bird watching.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two brothers: Neil Bergeson and Ted (Ed) Bergeson; her sister, Nancy Atkins; two sons: David Koch and wife Melissa of Arlington, Wash. and Ken Koch and wife Dawn of Burien, Wash.; her daughter, Laurie (Koch) Wittich and husband Carl of Baker City, Ore.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Ingbald Bergeson and mother, Jean Lind.
There will be a private family gathering to be held at a later time.
