Karen Laurell Scriver, 72, of Tonasket passed away on March 4. She was born in Brewster on September 29, 1943, to Fritz and Opal Willms.
She attended schools in Tonasket and Spangle, and graduated from Kinman Business School. During her lifetime she worked for the Riverside and Republic School Districts, the Department of Licensing, and the Department of Social and Health Services. Karen loved the outdoors and was an avid cattlewoman.
She is survived by her sister Vicki Vance of Carson, son Rocky Verbeck of Chewelah, son Tim Scriver of Republic, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous cows, two horses, and dogs Tyga and Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nadine Torgerson, and husband Bill Scriver.

A celebration of her life will be held at the family home, #51 Crumbacher Road, on Saturday, March 12th, at 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow.The service will be held in the barn. Dress appropriately.
