Frances Lenora (nee Gough) Bork passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 at Sunnybank Centre in Oliver at the age of 97 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons John (Elizabeth), Walter (Joyce) and David (Mary) and her daughter Elsa (Grant Lewis). Also missing their Grandma are her 20 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Frances was predeceased by her husband John in 1965; her daughters, Gertrude, Margaret and Medy Penner; son, Conrad and brother, Albert.

Frances was born on May 18, 1910 in North Vancouver. She and John married on Dec. 21, 1929 and moved to Oliver in 1930. With her husband she operated an orchard and ground crops.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 51 years. Frances was also a founding member of the Oliver Seniors Centre.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at the Oliver United Church. Interment followed at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
