Emogene Rounds, age 78, of Oroville died on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at her home in Oroville.
Emogene Rounds was born April 20, 1932 to the parents of Homer W. Cook and Nora R. Cook. She went to school at Rogersville Mo., until the age of 15, then in 1942 moved with her parents to Oroville. She worked at the Oroville Theater, the dryer and she thinned and packed apples for Dave Thorndike. On June 7, 1951, Emma married Charlie Rounds. Emma continued working in the fruit industry until retiring in 1998. Emma loved to camp with her family and friends. Then in 2000 Emma and Charlie moved out to their new house on Lake Osoyoos where she loved to sit out on the deck in the summer time and watch the activity on the lake with her husband Charlie. Emma went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 2, 2010 while at home with her loving family. Emma attended church at (PCofG) Bible Faith Family Church for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Rounds of Oroville; daughter, Charlotte (Steve) Gould of Oroville; son, Charles Kim (Tina) Rounds of Oroville; brother, Arnold (Bud) Cook of Omak; sisters: Pearline West of Moses Lake and Betty Flores of Seattle and several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Homer Cook; mother, Nora Cook and sister, Dean Wise.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 11 a.m., at the Bible Faith Family Church in Oroville with Pastor Claude Roberts, officiating. Interment followed at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery.
