Duane Burl McKinney, age 42 of Rathdrum, Idaho died April 30, 2011 at home.

He was born Sept. 20, 1968 to Bob and Donna McKinney in Tonasket. Duane married Shannon Barton on Aug. 6, 1988 in Tonasket and they moved to Rathdrum in July 1997. He was a long-haul truck driver that enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, Nascar, hunting and attending all of his boys sports activities.

Duane is survived by his wife, Shannon McKinney, at home; sons: Jason and Jeremy McKinney; parents: Donna (Leonard) Hedlund; sister, Annette (Dave) Farver; nephews Nick and Tyler Farver and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, Bob McKinney; grandparents, Burl and Edith McKinney and Ray and Maxine Nealey.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Tonasket Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at the Tonasket Eagles at 11 a.m.
