OROVILLE – The topic of cougar sightings in the south end of town came up at the Tuesday, Oct. 16 Oroville Council meeting.

Police Chief Clay Warnstaff would like to make people aware of the sighting and to keep their younger children and pets in at night and supervised. He doesn’t want to alarm people, but to make them aware just the same. Chief Warnstaff said last week that he has been in touch with the Colville Tribal Fish & Wildlife Department and they are assisting in the issue.
