OKANOGAN COUNTY – The Okanogan TV District #1 has recently finished work on their satellites on Omak and Pickens Mountains to be able to broadcast their eight channels digitally.

“Viewers can now get three KSPS channels, channels Two, Four, Six and two Fox 28 channels digitally,” Laurie Morgan said. “Viewers will have to do a channel scan. They need to pay $45 a year for service. If the TV district doesn’t get the support, we can’t provide the service. The picture is perfect. Anyone in view of Omak or Pickens Mountains is getting service.”

On Saturday, Nov. 13, Morgan will be at the Ace Hardware in Omak from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for any one who has questions for the TV District. She said she’s planning on being available in Tonasket for a question and answer period, but she hasn’t planned one yet.

“The Okanogan TV District #1 has done their part getting picture-perfect television out there, so the community needs to do their part by supporting us,” Morgan said. “We still have some analog channels, but next year they have to be totally off the air. We need people to understand we need their support.”

By supporting the television district, viewers get KSPS, PBS, World, Create, KXLY, NBC, KREM, Fox 28 on 19 and 31 and 3ABN. The district also broadcasts the radio stations KEYG, KMBI and KPBX.
