Three awarded Quilts of Honor during Vietnam-erapinning in Oroville.

North Central Quilts of Valor group awarded three quilts on Sunday, May 26 at Oroville American Legion Post Hodges 84. This occurred along with the Vietnam-era pinning. Pictured are l-r, Terry Rampley and Dean Brazle (seated) and U.S. Congressman Dan Newhouse (standing to the right behind the table). Brazle is a WW II veteran and the other two served during the Vietnam era. Nominations of active military and veterans are being accepted to receive a quilt. Oroville’s Dorothy Scott International Airport will soon have the addition of a Jet A fueling system, funded by the FFA through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, passed by Congress in 2021-2022. This will allow gas-turbine aircraft to refuel there. The airport currently only offers Aviation Gasoline (AVGAS) for fueling traditional propellor aircraft and small piston-engine airplanes.
