OROVILLE – The Oroville Chamber of Commerce’s first meeting of the fall on Thursday, Sept. 18 will feature a presentation by researchers from the Pacific Northwest National Labs. The PNNL has for several years been conducting research on Hot Lake, a very small pond less than 2 miles NE of Oroville that does not freeze over in the winter.

If you plan on ordering dinner (not required), arrive at 6 p.m. The presentation will be from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Located in Richland, Washington, PNNL employs 4300 and is one among ten U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories managed by DOE’s Office of Science. Their research strengthens the U.S. foundation for innovation, and they help find solutions for not only DOE, but for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Nuclear Security Administration, other government agencies, universities and industry.
