TONASKET – Longtime Tonasket business Hidden Treasures has a new tenant.

Hidden Treasures (31574 US 97 North, Tonasket) hasn’t gone anywhere, but as of Oct. 24, two new businesses, Nothins Perfect and Caboodles, have taken over a portion of the store, at the behest of owner Norma Jean Hart.

The three businesses will be hosting a combined open house on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Hidden Treasures that will include discounts, refreshments and prize drawings.

Caboodles is owned by Arra Sue Buzzard, a lifelong Okanogan County resident.

“My goal is to focus on repurposed items, offer dance dresses for high school girls, (American)-made items and knitting supplies,” says Buzzard. “I’m looking for suggestions as to what our locals would like to see offered. I was invited (in) by Norma Jean and have a love of old things.”

Merchandise currently includes collectibles and American-made products such as Brittany Knitting Needles from California and Hy O Silver Jewelry out of Texas.

Nothins Perfect features hand-crafted creations, gifts and wares as well as collectibles and has been open since Oct. 24.

As for what the business will offer in the future, “Time will tell,” says Fancher.

Both Buzzard and Fancher’s business experience consists of helping with their family cattle ranching operations.

Buzzard is married to Dean, and has four daughters, a son and 10 grandchildren. Fancher is married to Don, with a son and daughter (both married) and three grandchildren.
