TONASKET – The Tonasket food bank operates every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 300 S. Whitcomb Ave. Drop-offs can be made at Tonasket Tavern. For more information, call Jack Gavin at 486-2480 or Debby Curren at 486-2459.

Oroville Youth Basketball

OROVILLE – Oroville Youth Basketball will meet at the elementary gym on Dec. 15 and Jan. 5, 12 and 19. Grades K-2 will meet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Grades 3-6 will meet from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for this program. Sunday Piano Recital

OROVILLE – The students of Elizabeth Grunst will be playing their pieces in a winter recital, to be held on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Oroville High School band room and the entrance to the building will be from the west side. All friends are invited to attend.

Food & Clothing give-away

OROVILLE – A food and clothing give-away is being held on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Oroville, 1019 Ironwood.

Free holiday movie

OMAK – The Omak Theater and Omak Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a free holiday movie on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15 – 16 at 1 p.m. The film will be Charlotte’s Web, starring Dakota Fanning and featuring the voice of Julia Roberts. Admission is by a food donation for the food bank.

Gift & Ornament Workshop

TONASKET – A gift and ornament making workshop is being held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Community Cultural Center in Tonasket from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Make tissue-paper rosettes for the window, transparent stars, monotype painting and collages, Cost is $20 per person, which includes materials. Annual PRISM Concert

OROVILLE – On Friday, Dec. 14 the Oroville High School (OHS) Music Department will present their Third Annual PRISM Concert at 7 p.m. This concert features OHS students and group and community performing groups as well. The evening will close with an audience sing-along.

New Years Party

TWISP – Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Party with Get Wired, Hometown Pizza, Young Life and Voices in the Valley in Twisp starting at 8 p.m. and continuing until 1 a.m. Cover charge is $10, which includes Hometown’s Pizza, soft drinks, a free drink of choice from Get Wired, unlimited computer and board games, Halo tournament, a movie and rock band, ENVOY. Candlelight Carol Sing

CONCONULLY – A traditional candlelight carol sing, featuring 16 actors and readers, Conconully Choir and Women’s Chorus, will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 in the Conconully Community United Methodist Church. The program, Love Came Down at Christmas, presents the nativity story through the season’s familiar carols and scriptures. This event is open to the public. A reception with refreshments will follow.

Coat Drive

OROVILLE – The Oroville Border Patrol Explorers Post is having their 2nd Annual Coat Drive. Drop off gently used, clean coats at the Border Patrol Station, 1105 Main St. in Oroville, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. before Friday, Dec. 21. Donated coats will be distributed throughout Okanogan County.

Christmas Potluck

OROVILLE – There will be a Christmas Potluck at the Oroville Senior Center on Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. Meat is provided by the center. It is appreciated, but not mandatory, if you’ll sign the sheet on the table at the entry, or call, 476-2412 telling what you’ll bring and how many will be attending. It helps with the planning.

Christmas Party

MOLSON – The Molson Grange Christmas Party is being held on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. with a potluck and program to follow. Share the spirit and fun of Christmas with singing, games for kids and a visit from Santa!
