Valentine’s Scotch Doubles
OROVILLE – The Oroville Eagles is having a Valentine’s Scotch Doubles pool tournament on Saturday, Feb. 16. Cost is $10 per couple. Sign up to play is at 1 p.m. with games beginning at 1:30 p.m. Also that evening is a Filet Mignon dinner ($25 per couple) beginning at 6 p.m. followed by dancing to the beat of Rusty Spur from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. All members and guests are invited to attend.
Ice Fishing Festival
MOLSON – The Fourth Annual NW Ice Fishing Festival is being held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Sidley Lake in Molson.
Closure Notice
OROVILLE – The Oroville City Hall, Shop and Police Department office will be closed Monday, Feb. 18 in observance of President’s Day. Customers with a Monday collection day will be picked up on Tuesday.
Valentine’s Dinner
TONASKET – The Tonasket Eagles will present a sit down Valentines Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All Eagles and guests are invited. On the menu is Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Brazed Carrots, Green Salad, Dinner Roll and Cake. Dinner cost is by donation. After dinner you are invited to join Karaoke with the awesome Linda Wood.
Friday Night Coffee House
TONASKET – The Community Cultural Center of Tonasket will present a Friday Night Coffee House on Feb. 15. The Tonasket Writer’s Group will host this event, with readings from their works and Bud McSpadden will offer comic relief as well. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and pizza dinner, coffee and delicious baked goods will be available. The readings will begin around 6:30 p.m. There is no cover charge for the Friday Night Coffee House series. All ages are welcome at all the CCC events. Call (509) 486-1328 for more information.
Open Meeting
MOLSON – Molson Grange will be having an open meeting on Thursday, Feb. 28. Potluck will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the guest speaker will be leaders and boys from our local Boy Scouts. Come join in for an evening of food and fun and learn more about our local scouts.
“55 Alive” Course
OROVILLE – A “55 Alive” safe driving course is being offered at the Oroville Senior Center on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 22 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A fee of $10 is required for materials. Closure Notice
OKANOGAN – The Okanogan County Central Landfill, Ellisforde Transfer Station, Bridgeport Transfer Station and Twisp Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 16. They will all be open on regular schedules on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Dance at the Depot
OROVILLE – There will be a dance with live music at the Oroville Depot on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $7 and concessions are by donation.
Live Auction
TWISP – The Methow Valley Horseman’s Association will be holding a consignment auction on April 26 to raise funds in support of the rodeos. The auction will be held at the Winthrop Rodeo Grounds, beginning at 10 a.m. through the last bid. Book Fest
TONASKET – Tonasket Elementary School is having a Book Fest Extravaganza Feb. 25 through Feb. 29 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. daily on the grade school stage. Bring gently used books (no comics, textbooks or religious books) to the Elementary School the last week of February. Clean out your closets for the kids!
