Dorthy E. Finsen, age 94, of Oroville, died on May 7, 2010 at Oroville. She was born July 29, 1915 in Hays City, Kan. to George and Mary Noel.

Dorthy’s parents were cattle ranchers in Kansas and moved to Raymond, Wash. during the early 1930’s to start a dairy farm. In the late 1930’s they moved to Oroville to resume cattle ranching. On Oct. 1, 1938 she married Lawrence Finsen in Oroville. Dorthy was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Trinity Episcopal Church and was very active in the Oroville Bowling League for many years.

Dorthy is survived by her son, David Finsen of Oroville; daughter, Sheila Hull of Wenatchee; brother, Victor Noel of Oroville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Finsen of Oroville and granddaughter Nicole Jessup of East Wenatchee.

At the family’s request there will be no service.
