Wendy Lou Winslow, age 52, passed away on Aug. 4, 2011 at home in Ronald, Wash.
Wendy was born in Tonasket on July 14, 1959 to Butch and Donna Winslow. Wendy graduated from Tonasket High School in 1977 and attended beauty school at the Spokane School of Hair Fashion where she met her lifelong friend, Vicki Lewis of Dayton, Wash. She had a love for fashion, dancing, excelled in any sport and was an avid gardener. With all of life’s challenges Wendy’s inner strength and spirit would rise to the occasion. She had a zest for life and had a smile on her face no matter what. You could not help but have fun when being with her. Her high energy and outgoing friendliness made her the life of the party. Wendy was a devoted sister and she maintained a close relationship with her niece and nephew throughout her long fight with cancer.
Wendy is survived by the love of her life, Derek Vaughan; was sister to Jamie Westover; aunt to Megan and Ryan Lally; and has several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her favorite Aunty Betty; and loving Uncle Tommy.
At her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Care.
Cascade Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
